Both the Classroom Innovation Grants and the Shared Employee Services Grants have been re-opened. Both opportunities were funded as part of the 2016 education package. See details below:

• The Department of Education has re-opened the Shared Employee Services Grant for the 2016-17 school year. Deadline to apply is Oct. 21, 2016. Districts that need a new shared employee to provide services or supports during the 2016-17 school year are encouraged to apply. Questions can be addressed to Becky Nelson. (FYI: The application for the 2017-18 school year is also posted on the website with a deadline of Feb. 24, 2017.)


• The department has re-opened the Classroom Innovation Grants for a second round of funding for the 2016-17 school year. Deadline to apply is Oct. 21, 2016. Visit the Classroom Innovation Grants webpage for more information and an application. A district that was awarded a Classroom Innovation Grant in the first round (July 2016) is not eligible to apply for this second round. Questions can be addressed to Steve Fiechtner.
